Increasingly stringent environmental regulations require manufacturers to continuously monitor and manage their effluent disposal.

dataTaker Solution

The dataTaker DT500 collects data every 10 seconds from a number of pH and temperature sensors that are permanently installed in the pretreatment plant.

The dataTaker DT500 is programmed to continuously calculate and control the quantity of caustic soda that must be added to neutralize acidity of the effluent before discharge. The data logger also raises alarms to alert engineers when effluent pH, temperature or volume exceeds license requirements.

Historic data is periodically downloaded to a PC in the factory, located one hundred and fifty meters away from the effluent disposal plant.
